Join us next week for Innovations in Opioid Overdose Prevention, presented by Dr. Basak Tas! Friday, October 24th at 2:30pm, in-person and over Zoom.

Dr Basak Tas is a Research Fellow at the National Addiction Centre, King’s College London. Her research focuses on opioid addiction treatment innovation and overdose prevention, spanning experimental studies of he**in overdose, evaluation of wearable biosensors, and investigations into the acceptability of new technologies among people who use opioids.

Rhode Island is observing International Overdose Awareness Day today, September 4th. In recognition of this day and of our family, friends, community we have lost to overdose, vigils, gatherings and the state's largest naloxone distribution event will be happening around Rhode Island.
