As we go into the week before Thanksgiving, our mindset is probably running around
with stress and anxiety hoping we have everything we need for that special day.
Whether you eat a certain protocol or not. There are extra calories to be had during the
Holidays,if we don’t stay on protocol without judgment. Meaning we can eat off protocol
without judgment as long as we are aware of our mindset. Are we eating because everyone else
Is eating? Are we eating because we are bored? Or are we eating to fuel our body?
Holidays are becoming more about food then about making memories or reconnecting to friends and family. I like to share few tips that have helped me throughout my health journey of 14 years and maintaining for 13 years of releasing 150lbs.
👉Don’t sit down to dinner on an empty tank, fuel up before dinner this way you won’t eat more then you want to.
👉Use smaller plate like a salad plate instead of the big plate
👉If you are going to friends or family for dinner take a healthy side dish
👉Fill your plate with protein and veggies 1st then I usually will take small
Serving of mashed potatoes with gravy, stuffing and half of a dinner roll.
👉Eat slow it takes about 20 minute for your brain to know when you are full.
👉If there is a desert you must have take small piece and savor it as much as you can.
👉Instead of going for 2nds go reconnect with friend or family member then
👉recheck yourself about that 2nd serving you might not be as hungry as you thought you were.
👉Stay positive we can be hard on ourselves for indulgences, be non judgemental with yourself if you go off protocol.
👉De - Stress, for me if I feel over stimulated I like to go off on my own and refocus.
👉Last of all go for a walk and enjoy the journey and make memories! 💯
