✨ Reminder: Good Night Lights is TONIGHT! ✨

We’re resharing this important update from Good Night Lights as our community comes together to celebrate the 10th Birthday of this heartwarming tradition.

Check out the details in the post to find a watch location and join in supporting the patients, families, and caregivers at Hasbro Children's Hospital. 💙🌟Brown University Health

Anticipation is building for tomorrow night's (December 10th) 10th Birthday Celebration display for Good Night Lights. The list of known groups that plan to participate has gotten long with lots of signaling planned from both sides of the Providence River. Do what you can to be part of this special night as we celebrate a decade of brightening spirits at Hasbro Children's.
Some things to note:
Multiple public signaling sites will be active, including:
In East Providence:
***University Orthopedics parking lots (at Kettle Point)
***Bold Point Park
***The East Bay Bike Path overlook (Veterans Parkway)
In Providence:
***Narragansett Brewery (as part of Ugly Sweater Night)
***India Point Park
***The Hot Club
***The entrance to Collier Point Park (Allens Ave)
***The Women & Infants One Blackstone parking lot
***The circle drive between RIH and Hasbro C.H.
***The sidewalks beneath the hospital on Eddy and Dudley Streets
A large number of people are planning to participate close to the hospital, so parking will be tight. Parking is available in the Norman Prince Spine Institute lot (690 Eddy Street) and there is also street parking available on Rhodes Street (a block south).
Please make SAFETY and COOPERATION your priorities if you are able to participate. Lots of vehicles and lots of people will be in motion. Obey all traffic laws, especially when crossing streets and stay alert when at the wheel.
Please avoid driving on Eddy and Dudley Streets as much as possible. These are the main roads leading to the hospital emergency rooms. Emergency vehicles must arrive without delay.
The current weather forecast indicates it could be a damp night. Be prepared for that.
Flashlights used for signals from close to the hospital need not be super bright. Very bright lights close up can actually make the display difficult for those in the hospital to enjoy. Save your super bright flashlight for longer distance signals.
Thanks to all who have found a way to support Good Night Lights throughout these years. It has become a deeply appreciated tradition within, and without, Hasbro Children's. Steve B.

✨ Good Night Lights Is Just 1 Week Away! ✨
We’re resharing this important update from Good Night Lights as our community gets ready to celebrate the 10th Birthday of this heartwarming tradition on Wednesday, December 10th.

Check out the details in the reshared post for gathering spots and ways to take part in supporting patients, families, and caregivers at Hasbro Children's Hospital. 💙🌟Brown University Health

The participation roster for the 10th Birthday Display for Good Night Lights continues to grow. There will be multiple public places to signal from on Wednesday, December 10th, with one being the Narragansett Brewery on Tockwotton Street in Providence. You can get in on the Annual Ugly Sweater Party that night, then head to the deck, or nearby India Point Park, to flash a light towards Hasbro Children's at 8:30. Narragansett Brewery is part of the nightly GNL signal thanks to a light it maintains on its roof. On December 10th that light will be one of many the brewery will be using to support kids, families, and caregivers at Hasbro Children's. Make plans to be there! Steve B.

🎁 Holiday Safety Reminder!

As we celebrate the season of giving, let’s keep safety top of mind. In 2023, 154,700 children (12 & under) were treated in ERs for toy-related injuries — and 10 children tragically lost their lives.

Make this season joyful and safe with these smart gift-giving tips:
✔️ Follow age guidance on toy packaging
✔️ Choose toys that match each child’s interests & abilities
✔️ Always pair riding toys with safety gear like helmets
✔️ Keep small parts away from kids under 3
✔️ Keep deflated balloons away from kids under 8
✔️ Discard plastic packaging right after opening

Let’s help keep every child safe this holiday season. ❤️
