On our campus, kindness grows every day.
This Kindness Tree is filled with handwritten moments of compassion, patience, and care, each leaf shared by a student who noticed or chose kindness in action. Big moments. Quiet moments. All of them meaningful.

Meet Ollie!
Ollie is a kindergartner at The Grace School and a proud graduate of Meeting Street’s Early Learning Center. Often described as “joy in human form,” he lights up every room with his laughter and boundless energy. Diagnosed with Lamb-Shaffer Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder, and autism, Ollie has faced challenges with incredible courage and an unstoppable spirit.

What truly defines Ollie is his heart. He loves all things Disney and he’s happiest when running, climbing, exploring or riding his bike. His curiosity, determination and contagious laugh are not to be missed as he co-hosts the 2026 Meeting Street Telethon, presented by Cardi's Furniture & Mattresses!

We are incredibly grateful for the generous support from the John E. Fogarty Foundation, which has made it possible for us to purchase Mobi Height-Adjustable Changing Tables and Transfer Aids for our students at The Carter and Grace Schools.

These specialized tables and aids are designed to provide comfort, safety, and accessibility for our students with diverse needs. The Mobi Height-Adjustable Changing Tables allow for seamless transitions during care, ensuring that all children, regardless of their mobility challenges, receive the support they need with dignity.

With these tools, we are fostering an inclusive environment where every child can thrive, learn, and grow together. Your commitment to empowering our students is truly inspiring, and we are excited to see the positive impact these resources will have on our community.

Jilliana, a 3rd grade superstar at The Grace School, Meeting Street’s fully inclusive K-8 school in Providence, will be turning heads at this year’s Meeting Street Telethon, presented by Cardi's Furniture & Mattresses! Ready for the cameras to roll, Jilliana’s glowing personality will beam like the Oscar itself.
Jilliana joined Meeting Street at age 4 through our RI State Pre-K program and has been excelling ever since. She LOVES math and enjoys turning ideas into creations with Legos, while channeling her inner Moana when swimming.
Jillian is ready to take off like the planes she loves to travel in, and we can’t wait to see “how far she’ll go!”

Last week, two members of our team traveled to Denver for the 2025 TASH Conference. Michelle Godfrey, Head of School at The Schwartz School, and Rachel Ferreira, Special Education Awareness Advisor, joined leaders and advocates from across the disability community for this annual gathering.
Rachel leads disability awareness trainings for staff and helps students strengthen their self-advocacy skills. She presented on the WISE Advocacy Program, a curriculum she created to guide students throughout their high school and transition years. The goal is that by graduation, every student is equipped with the tools and confidence to advocate for themselves as adults.
The TASH Conference brings together leaders and advocates from across the disability community to share resources, highlight best practices, and learn from one another.
