I didn’t want to roll my butt out of bed this morning to workout, but I did it anyways. I’ve realized that if I can get myself out of bed and drink some pre-workout go-go juice I’m pretty much guaranteed to get my workout in. I bought a really low stimulant pre-workout so it’s less about the drink and more about it cues me to get in the right mindset to move forward.

Today’s workout:

5 rounds
70m sprint
70m rear-facing sled drag (145 lbs)
70m farmer carry (2 x 53 lb KB)
70m lateral shuffle
70m sprint

Sad News! I’m closing down the business. December 31st will be the last day the business is open.

This last move ended up being a bit too difficult for the business. I’m no longer capable of keeping it afloat. I hope that one day I’ve built up a large enough social and occupational network to give this another shot, but for now my network isn’t strong enough for this to be successful.

I really appreciate all the people who gave me a shot to help them along their rehab journey. I’m actively searching for some place to practice so I’ll make sure that anyone who wants to still keep working with me can.

I’m grateful for this entire experience, and I will definitely use it to carry me forward in the future. Maybe this is the end of Revitalize 3D or maybe it just ends up being a pause until I’m in a better position to launch from.

Exciting news! We have officially moved locations.

As of tomorrow, November 29th, we will be moved over and seeing patients at our new primary location which will be located out of RxFit Gym-Orem. The address for the new location is:
106 E 400 S
Orem, UT 84058

Although this move was unexpected, the move offers patients some nice upgrades. Some cool things about the new location:
- Bathroom is right outside treatment room
- Showers are now available if you want to clean-up a bit after treatment or performance sessions (towels and shower supplies NOT provided)
- Larger, more open gym space
- Much larger variety of exercise equipment
- More open and comfortable treatment room atmosphere

I will be putting up some pictures of the new office and an introductory video for the new location later this week when the look of everything is a little more polished.

I’m looking forward to partnering with ya’ll on your journey as we work to revitalize your life.

How can physical therapy help with pelvic pain?

Physical therapists are trained to evaluate and treat possible causes of pelvic pain, including joint dysfunction, scar tissue, muscle tightness, weakness, or imbalance. We help people with pelvic pain restore strength, flexibility, and function to the muscles and joints in the pelvic region. At Revitalize 3D, we take a comprehensive look at the body to find the cause of the problem.

Pelvic floor pain can affect those who are pregnant, postpartum, or who are recovering from gender affirmation and other surgical procedures. This type of pain can be limiting and even a bit embarrassing. It can hinder your daily life and prevent you from doing tasks or activities you love. Fortunately, pelvic floor rehabilitation can help ease your symptoms of pelvic dysfunction and strengthen your pelvic floor muscles to alleviate additional problems in the future.

Can kegels fix pelvic floor dysfunction?

We often hear that kegel exercises will fix issues with the pelvic floor. While kegel exercises serve a purpose, they may not stop your pelvic pain, leaking, or other symptoms. You may not need to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles. Many times pelvic floor pain is related to back or hip issues, something Kegels will not help.

What are some of the most common pelvic conditions treated in your clinic?

➡️Pregnancy and postpartum - Pregnancy can cause the muscles and connective tissue in the pelvic area to be injured or weakened. This can cause many different issues such as back and hip pain, urinary problems, and constipation. Pelvic floor rehabilitation helps reduce the pain that is being felt and strengthens any damaged muscles or tissues.

➡️Urinary incontinence - Abdominal weakness, prostate problems, childbirth, constipation, and other factors can cause incontinence in people. Urinary incontinence can happen to anyone. Bladder leakage can be embarrassing and uncomfortable to discuss, so working with a trained professional can be very beneficial.

➡️Gender affirmation surgery - During the transition process individuals often undergo procedures that may include hormone therapy and gender-affirming surgeries that aim to alter the individual's physical appearance to match their gender identity. Pelvic floor physical therapists play a unique and essential role in your care before, during and after surgery. Pelvic PTs are specialized in treating pelvic floor dysfunction as well as improving function, providing pain relief, treating bowel and bladder disorders, addressing sexual function, and so much more.
