Popcorn might seem like a simple snack… but it can be dangerous for children under 2. 🍿⚠️

The shape and texture make popcorn a high choking risk for little ones whose chewing and swallowing skills are still developing. 👶

Even small pieces can block a child’s airway because popcorn is hard, irregular, and doesn’t dissolve easily.

For toddlers under 2, it’s safer to stick with snacks that are soft, small, and easy to chew. 🍓🧀🍌

As kids get older and their chewing skills improve, popcorn can become a safer option.

When it comes to young children, choking prevention is always worth the extra caution. 💛

Me giving my kid Tylenol after they come home fussy from vaccines… 💉😢➡️😊

A little soreness, fussiness, or a mild fever can be normal after vaccines.

If your child seems uncomfortable, acetaminophen (Tylenol) can help them feel better. 💛

Most vaccine side effects are mild and pass within 24–48 hours.

If you ever have questions about reactions after vaccines, we are always happy to help. 🩺👶

Many parents wonder when babies should start sleeping through the night. 😴👶

For most babies, this begins to happen sometime between about 3–6 months old.

By this age, many babies are able to go 6–8 hours without needing to eat overnight, though every child develops a little differently. 🍼

Some babies sleep longer stretches earlier, and others take more time — both can be completely normal. 💛

Consistent routines, a calm sleep environment, and time all help babies gradually learn to sleep longer stretches. 🌙✨

If you ever have questions about your child’s sleep, your pediatrician is always happy to help guide you. 🩺

When you first become a parent, it can feel like everyone else knows a million random parenting rules. 😅

“Did you know you can’t use a formula bottle after an hour?”
“You’re supposed to take the binky away by this age.”
“You shouldn’t do that after this stage.”

Suddenly it feels like there’s an endless bank of information everyone else somehow already knew. 🧠📚

The truth is… most parents are learning as they go. 💛

What matters most is that you care and you’re trying to make the safest choices for your child moving forward.

If you ever feel unsure about something, your pediatrician is a great place to start. 🩺
No judgment — just support and guidance.

Parenting doesn’t come with a manual, but you don’t have to figure it out alone. 🤝

Totally normal for kids to have “hungry days” and “not so hungry days.” 🍎🥪

This is especially common between about ages 1–5. 👶➡️🧒

Young children are very good at listening to their bodies. Some days they’re growing, playing hard, and eating a lot… other days they just aren’t very hungry. 🤷‍♀️

What matters most is how they eat over the course of a week, not just one meal or one day. 📅

Keep offering balanced meals and snacks, and let them decide how much they want to eat. 🥕🍗🍓

When children say “no,” they’re often doing more than being defiant.

During early childhood, kids begin developing autonomy — the understanding that they are their own person with their own choices and control.

Testing limits, resisting instructions, and asserting their opinions are all ways children explore that independence.

It can feel frustrating in the moment, but it’s actually a normal and important part of development.

With consistent boundaries and supportive guidance, children gradually learn how to balance independence with cooperation.

When kids leave feeling safe and happy, it makes it a lot easier for parents the next time they need to come back.

A little kindness (and a few stickers) can go a long way. 😊

Picky eating and whining at dinner are very common, especially for toddlers and young kids.

A few things that can help:

• Keep offering a variety of foods without pressure
• Include at least one “safe food” you know they usually eat
• Let kids decide how much they eat from what’s offered
• Try to keep meals calm and predictable

Sometimes it takes 10–15 exposures to a new food before kids accept it.

Even if it doesn’t feel like it, kids are learning about food every time they see it on the table. 🍎🥦
