Our 4th Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Sharmar Village Senior Living Community was nothing short of magical. 🐣💛

With over 3,600 eggs, prizes, crafts, and refreshments, the day was filled with excitement—but what made it truly special went far beyond the hunt itself. It was the smiles, the laughter, and the genuine joy shared between our residents, their families, our dedicated employees, and the families who support them.

Watching our residents light up as they cheered on each child, laughed together, and soaked in every moment was incredibly moving. These are the moments that stay with them—and with all of us—long after the day is over.

At Sharmar Village, our residents are at the heart of everything we do, and their families, along with our amazing staff and their loved ones, are just as important. Together, we create a community built on love, connection, and shared experiences like this one.

This wasn’t just an event… it was a beautiful reminder of how meaningful it is to come together across generations and create memories that truly matter.

Day 2 of Easter egg stuffing is officially in the books, and our Easter elves at Sharmar Village have been BUSY! Thank you to Joe Vigil from Allelon Hospice for the extra hands. 🐰🥚💛

With every egg filled, there’s a little extra love and joy tucked inside. We can’t wait to see the smiles on our residents’ faces as they watch the children race across the lawn, laughing and searching for their special treasures.

Our amazing ladies have been busy stuffing Easter eggs for our annual Easter egg hunt, and let me tell you… there’s a whole lot of love tucked inside each one! From laughter around the table to sharing stories and smiles, these moments are what it’s all about.

It’s more than just preparing for a fun event—it’s about purpose, connection, and bringing joy to the children and families in our Sharmar community. Our residents take so much pride in being part of something that gives back, and it truly shows.

We are beyond proud to announce that our community has been recognized by Newsweek as one of America’s Best Continuing Care Retirement Communities for 2026. Out of the entire state of Colorado, only 7 communities received this honor—and we are one of them. 330 communities across the nation.

This isn’t just an award to us. It represents the love, compassion, and dedication that happens here every single day. It’s our team going above and beyond, our residents who make this place feel like home, and the families who trust us with the people they love most.

🍀✨ A Little Luck & A Lot of Smiles at Sharmar Village ✨🍀

Today, a mischievous little leprechaun paid a special visit to Sharmar Village Senior Care Community, spreading cheer, laughter, and a touch of magic all across our campus! 💚🌈

With pockets full of “gold” and a heart full of joy, our tiny guest made their way through the halls, bringing smiles to each and every resident they met. From sweet surprises to shared laughter, it was a day filled with warmth, connection, and just the right amount of Irish charm.

Moments like these remind us how important it is to create joy in the everyday and celebrate together as a community. We’re so lucky to share these special experiences with the wonderful people who call Sharmar Village home. 🍀

Meet our amazing Activity Assistant Desiree. She is awesome, creative, and talented to say the least.

My name is Desiree, and I’ve been part of the Sharmar family for the past four years. I love bringing bringing joy, art, and inspiration to our residents every day. 🌻

I am a local artist and Pueblo Levee muralist who goes by Desi Drew Designs. I have completed three murals and assisted with many others along the levee, helping bring color and creativity to our city. 🎨

My newest art series, “Greetings from Pueblo,” has just been released and is currently on display at the Sangre de Cristo Arts & Conference Center in the Hoag Gallery, where it will be featured until next month.

Love Knows No Age

At the Chateau at Sharmar Village, we are reminded everyday that life’s most meaningful moments can happen at any time – and love is certainly no exception.
Yesterday, our community had the joy of celebrating the recent marriage of two very special residents of our Independent Living. Both over the age of 80, they have shown us all that it is never too late to find love, companionship, and happiness. In a world that often focuses on youth, this beautiful couple reminds us of an important truth: the heart never grows to old to love and new beginnings can happen at any stage of life.

Please join us in congratulating Donovan Trujillo, one of our amazing Dietary Aides, who continues to represent Sharmar with dedication, talent, and heart.

Donovan works part time while also being a full-time student — and now he has taken things to the next level by starting an internship with the Pueblo Punishers in the National Arena Football League as their sideline reporter! 🏈🔥

His work ethic, positive attitude, and drive to grow both personally and professionally truly reflect the kind of team members we are proud to have here. At Sharmar, we are more than a workplace — we are a community that supports big goals and even bigger dreams.

We have some incredibly talented employees who represent us so well both inside and outside our walls — and Donovan is a perfect example of that.
