We are seeking a Custodian to join our team! You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
Responsibilities:
* Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition
* Perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors and shampooing rugs
* Perform routine maintenance tasks
* Organize custodial closets and spaces
* Maintain working condition of cleaning equipment
* Maintain proper standards of cleanliness in assigned areas
* Dusts and polishes furniture, woodwork and fixtures
* Empties trash
* Cleans and sanitizes restrooms and related areas, maintains supplies in all areas
* Vacuums carpet
Qualifications:
* Minimum of one year experience in custodial services required
* Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, or other related fields
* Ability to handle physical workload
* Strong attention to detail
* Strong organizational skills
* Communicates clearly and regularly with supervisor and co-workers
Requirements:
* Fills in for other staff as necessary and/or required
* Understands, observes and complies with all polices and procedures when preforming duties
* Posses excellent oral and written skills
* Effectively manages multiple projects at once
* Effectively deals with stressful situations
* Be adaptable to sudden and unexpected changes in assignments
* Engage in physically strenuous activities to perform duties, including operating and moving of equipment and furniture
* Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to lift and move objects from 75-150 pounds
* Ability to crawl-move on hands and knees or hands and feet
* Ability to stand and kneel for long periods of times
* Ability to work in confined narrow working enviroment
Special Requirements:
* Must successfully pass drug/background check
* Posses a valid driver’s license and have a RELIABLE form of transportation.
Education:
* High school diploma or GED equivalency required
