Healing can be about returning to yourself... Reconnecting with who you are and have always been. Recconnect with the quiet presence inside yourself, the one that underneath all the noise. Trauma, anxiety, addiction, guilt and shame build up walls around that original awareness and block out the peace that could be. We don't have to become something better, but rather unlearn from the experiences that make us forget who we are!

November Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), commonly known as food assistance, Benefits on HOLD due to Federal Government Shutdown

Pueblo County Department of Human Services has been notified that SNAP (food assistance) benefits will be held in November due to the federal government shutdown.

Please continue to apply and submit renewals and other documents as department staff WILL continue to process the paperwork, so that when benefits may be released, they can be available. Medicaid and cash benefits will not be affected at this time.

The State of Colorado and Pueblo County have no control over when SNAP benefits may be available. We know that many Pueblo County residents rely on SNAP benefits, and this is alarming news. We will continue to monitor the situation and update our community as information becomes available.
