The Fido's Pantry Program ensures that homebound seniors are able to feed their animal companions without having to sacrifice things such as food and medicine. It was an honor to sit among this group of do-gooders during the Community Foundation of the New River Valley Grant Awards Reception. We are grateful to the Foundation, to the Ghia Borg Memorial Health Fund, and the Sarah Lee Alderson Fund, for supporting our Home Delivered Meals Program. This Program serves homebound seniors in our community facing food-insecurity. Thank you!

Thank you, once again, to Katie and Mathew, and the congregation of the McDonalds Mill Methodist Church, a member of the Catawba Circuit Charge of the United Methodist Church, for donating these Staples for Seniors bags and Holiday bags!

Each quarter, the members of McDonald's Mill United Methodist Church purchase shelf-stable foods, and assemble bags to be distributed to homebound seniors facing food insecurity in our community. For the holidays, they assembled additional bags with gifts for the season. We are grateful for their partnership and their commitment to serving seniors in the NRV!

A special Thank You to our VICAP volunteers and staff, who worked VERY hard helping hundreds of seniors navigate the Medicaid Open Enrollment Period this year.

They had to manage without the support of their longtime volunteer leader, Deena Flinchum, (featured sitting), who passed in September of this year. Deena, you are loved and greatly missed.
