✨ A Day Full of Flavor, Connection & Care ✨

We are beyond grateful for our incredible culinary team who truly outdid themselves! 💙

Residents enjoyed a delicious and beautifully presented Greek-inspired lunch featuring a fresh Greek salad with vibrant vegetables, feta, and house-made vinaigrette, paired with grilled marinated shrimp or savory gyro meat, warm pita bread, yellow rice with cranberries, Brussels sprouts, and creamy hummus and tzatziki for dipping—every bite full of flavor and care!

And the experience didn’t stop there… ☕

Our afternoon tea party was simply delightful! Guests gathered to enjoy elegant tea sandwiches, delectable desserts, and thoughtfully prepared small bites—each made with love. Paired with warm cups of tea, laughter filled the room as stories were shared and connections deepened.

Moments like these are what make our community so special. It’s not just about the food—it’s about the care, creativity, and heart our culinary team pours into every experience. 👏

💡🌟Volunteer Spotlight: Mason Privratsky!

Bishop Place is excited to recognize one of our frequent volunteers! 🥳🙏🏽 His consistent and quality work has made an incredible difference in our residents’ lives.

Besides being a full time pre-med student and having two part time jobs, Mason has found time to consistently show up to help out with Enhanced Care activities. Whether it’s taking a resident for a walk, decorating for the holidays, or running BINGO, he has made an incredible difference in our community. Residents and staff alike often rave about him, asking when they will see him next.

When asked why he volunteers, Mason states, “I value what the older generation has taught me, I want to give back to them. I learned kindness from them and they deserve it back.“

Bishop Place says THANK YOU Mason for all you’ve done! You make a difference everytime you visit. ✨🌟💫

✨What an incredible evening of reflection and community at the 2025 Trees of Light Ceremony—thank you to all who joined us!✨

We were honored to have nearly 90 people gather with us and over 160 names read during an evening of reflection, remembrance, and community at the 2025 Trees of Light and Remembrance Ceremony. Your presence made the night truly meaningful.

A heartfelt thank you to Bishop Place for hosting us and providing a wonderful meal, to Neill's Flowers and Gifts for the beautiful centerpiece, and to the Threshold Choir of the Palouse for their musical talents that added such peace to the ceremony.

If you weren’t able to attend, there is still time to visit the Trees of Light. The trees will be on display at Bishop Place Independent Living in Pullman and the Whitman County Library in Colfax through December 31st. Blank ornaments are available at both locations if you’d like to add the name of someone you’re remembering this season.

May the lights continue to bring comfort, connection, and hope. ✨

🥧✨ Pie-a-Palooza 2025: A Sweet Success! ✨🥧

Yesterday our community came together for another unforgettable Pie-a-Palooza, and what a celebration it was! With 19 different pies baked and shared, the dining room was filled with laughter, stories, and the delicious smell of tradition.

🏆 This year’s #1 Winner was Dorothy & Bob’s Sour Lemon Pie. This recipe carries a special meaning for our community. When Dorothy passed, we gathered to bake her family pie for Bob so he could still enjoy his wife’s tradition. After Bob’s passing, the tradition continues—his family pie lives on through Pie-a-Palooza, reminding us why we do this event: to share love, memories, and the traditions that make our community so special.

💌 Thank you to everyone who baked, tasted, voted, and shared stories. Pie-a-Palooza isn’t just about the pies—it’s about the people, the memories, and the joy we create together.
