Lorenz Russell Bernhardt

Lorenz Russell Bernhardt, Age-90 of Punta Gorda, FL passed away at Lifecare Center of Punta Gorda on April 11th, 2026. Lorenz was born on September 18th, 1935, in St. Peters, Illinois to Lorenz and Mary Bernhardt. Lorenz was a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana and graduated from High School in 1955. Upon graduation from High School Lorenz served proudly in the United States Army for two years and was Stationed at Fort Hood, Georgia where he was honorably discharged. After leaving the Army he attended Purdue University, earning a bachelor’s degree in engineering after graduating he worked in the Retail Clothing Industry operating his own store. Lorenz moved to Bonita Springs in the mid 80’s and started developing properties until retiring in 2000.

Lorenz is survived by a sister, Sandra Gerhardt. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Jackie Bernhardt and second wife, Elke Bernhardt. In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions be made Harry Chapin Food Bank/Habitat for Humanity of Lee County.

Eva Cecilia Frady

Eva Cecilia Frady, 81, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026. She was born on August 6, 1944, in Baltimore, Maryland.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Margaret Franz; her sister, Theresa Foote; her brother-in-law, Harry Foote; and her beloved husband, Vernon Frady.

She is survived by her loving children, Linda Anders and Michael Anders (wife, Kelly); her cherished granddaughter, Kirsten; her brothers, Ray Franz and Larry Franz (wife, Tammy); as well as extended family members and dear friends who will treasure her memory.

Eva will be remembered as a loving mother and a kind-hearted woman whose warmth and smile touched everyone she met. She possessed a gentle spirit that brought comfort to those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were fortunate to know her.

Eva will be layed to rest along side her husband, Vernon at Sarasota National Cemetary. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
