Today’s One Word Workshop was deeply introspective and thoughtful.
The room was quiet in the best way, people pausing, reflecting, and really sitting with what they needed. No rushing. No performing. Just honest consideration and meaningful choices.
Watching everyone take their time, listen to each other, and choose a word that felt true was powerful. These are the kinds of moments that remind us how impactful slowing down can be.
If you missed this session, more opportunities like this are coming.
Next time, we hope you’ll join us.

A huge congratulations to Tish Letitia Bowles for earning her CRPS (Certified Recovery Peer Specialist) credential.
The transition from lived experience to professional practice takes dedication, study, and a commitment to ethics. Tish has put in the hours and the effort, and it shows in the way she supports our members every day.
We’re so proud of the work she’s put in and the growth she’s stepped into. This milestone is a reflection of her resilience, her passion for peer support, and the impact she’s going to continue making in the lives of so many.
Drop a 👏🏽 or 💛 in the comments to show her some love and congratulate her on this well-earned achievement.

The Self-Help and Recovery Exchange (S.H.A.R.E.) Spot is a drop-in center for people with severe, persistent mental illness. This peer-run, evidence-based program focuses on socialization, advocacy, and self-help for each member on a personal journey to recovery. Peer specialists run a variety of activities including self-help groups, education groups, arts and crafts, self-expression activities, and featured guest speakers. Peer specialists also provide emotional support to all members. S.H.A.R.E. Spot empowers members while instilling hope for a brighter future.
Studies of drop-in centers have found that members who attend have a decrease in su***de rate, substance abuse, and Crisis Unit admissions. Members also show an increase in social contacts, quality of life, problem solving abilities, and the ability to carry out the activities of daily living.
Through peer support, members gain self-esteem, learn to advocate for themselves, and become empowered to strive for recovery. The S.H.A.R.E. Spot is a powerful demonstration that people with mental illness can and do lead normal, productive lives.
S.H.A.R.E. Spot is a free, voluntary program open to members every Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Note: Potential members are invited to apply in person on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:30 a.m. – noon. Members are responsible for their own transportation and must be picked up no later than 2:30 p.m. Members must bring a bagged lunch. Snack & drink machines are available on site.
