Wishing everyone in our community a joyful and prosperous Lunar New Year! 🧧
As we welcome the Year of the Horse, we celebrate a symbol of strength, energy, determination, and forward movement. The Horse represents resilience, independence, and the courage to keep going, even when the path feels long. It reminds us that progress comes from steady effort and believing in our own ability to move forward. Sound familiar? These are the qualities you exhibit every day.
As we begin this new lunar year, may it bring motivation, renewed confidence, and meaningful growth. From all of us at SHARE Spot, we honor this season of new beginnings and wish you health, hope, and momentum in the year ahead. 🐎🌕

Happy Valentine’s Day 💛
Today isn’t just about romance; it’s also about the relationship you have with yourself.
Self-love isn’t selfish. It’s a mental health skill.
It’s recovery work. It’s choosing compassion over criticism, rest over burnout, and “I’m still worthy” even on the hard days.
If nobody told you lately, we’re proud of your perseverance.
Proud of the days you showed up exhausted.
Proud of the days you asked for help.
Proud of the days you kept going anyway.
Today, let love start at home in your own heart.
You deserve gentleness. You deserve healing. You deserve peace.
💛 Drop a “💛” if you’re practicing self-love today, even in a small way.

Some lessons don’t come when we’re young. They come when we’re finally safe enough to understand them.
Today in Journaling Out Loud, we’re exploring:
“What I Wish I Had Been Told Earlier in Life.”
This isn’t about regret. It’s about wisdom. It’s about gently honoring the lessons that came when you were finally ready to receive them.
It’s about realizing that surviving took energy, and now that we’re here, we get to reflect, grow, and make better choices.
If you’ve ever thought, “I should have known better,” this space is for you.
We’ll reflect. We’ll breathe and let that be enough for today.

If today feels oddly familiar… you’re not wrong 😏
Today we’re watching Groundhog Day and exploring the lessons Phil learned when life refused to move forward until he did.
Come for the movie. Stay for the laughs (and maybe a breakthrough or two).
We'll get started at 10:30 AM and we hope to see you there.

We hope you enjoyed the extra day to rest, reset, or do something that filled your cup. Coming back after a long weekend can feel a little slow and that’s okay.

The Self-Help and Recovery Exchange (S.H.A.R.E.) Spot is a drop-in center for people with severe, persistent mental illness. This peer-run, evidence-based program focuses on socialization, advocacy, and self-help for each member on a personal journey to recovery. Peer specialists run a variety of activities including self-help groups, education groups, arts and crafts, self-expression activities, and featured guest speakers. Peer specialists also provide emotional support to all members. S.H.A.R.E. Spot empowers members while instilling hope for a brighter future.
Studies of drop-in centers have found that members who attend have a decrease in su***de rate, substance abuse, and Crisis Unit admissions. Members also show an increase in social contacts, quality of life, problem solving abilities, and the ability to carry out the activities of daily living.
Through peer support, members gain self-esteem, learn to advocate for themselves, and become empowered to strive for recovery. The S.H.A.R.E. Spot is a powerful demonstration that people with mental illness can and do lead normal, productive lives.
S.H.A.R.E. Spot is a free, voluntary program open to members every Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
