Tucked in the heart of Punta Gorda’s historic district is a small ‘sanctuary’ where you can nurture the body, mind and spirit. Our mission is to share our passion of yoga with the community by providing a warm, safe environment to develop the tools needed to incorporate yoga into everyday life. We offer

the benefits of yoga to people of all ages and experience levels. Whether you’re interested in a yoga class, private instruction, meditation, or simply want to unwind with a fresh cup of organic tea, The Yoga Sanctuary is your destination to relax, refresh and rejuvenate. At our studio, you’ll find a full range of yoga classes, empowering year-round workshops, individualized programs and yoga supplies all designed to support a yogic lifestyle. In honoring nonviolence (“ahimsa”) – we are committed to making environmentally friendly decisions in the design of our studio and daily operations. Design features include cork flooring, non-VOC (volatile organic compounds) and odor-free paint, and IKEA furniture. Cork flooring is used to keep us connected to the earth – the source of our being. One of the greatest benefits of cork flooring is the environmental impact – because it’s made from bark, the cork trees are simply peeled instead of cut down. Warm and soft under the feet, cork provides a comfortable, safe environment for your yoga practice. Additionally, we supply the studio with non-toxic, bio-degradable yoga mats and cork blocks. We also use all natural cleaning products, recycled paper products, and supply our tea station with organic tea.

Our hearts are still so full from our time in Peru 💚 in the Sacred Valley 💚 at the lovely El Verde Peru.

Everyone has now made their way home--some staying on a bit longer in the magic, others carrying it straight back into daily life. However the journey unfolded, it was something special to share with everyone!

This experience… pure magic. The land, the connections, the quiet moments, the fun excursions out into the county--it all came together in such a powerful way.

Take a peak at some of the photos from our time in the Sacred Valley. And if you missed it... something tells me this won’t be our last visit.

Spring has arrived! ☀️🌷🌱

Our days will get longer from here on out - allowing for more sunshine and daylight! Read a little about what the Spring (or Vernal) Equinox is, and what it all means. Here at TYS we bring in each season with a sound bath - an event where you are "bathed" in the vibrations of many instruments from sound bowls, to chimes and so much more. It’s that time- we’ve got a donation box for St. Vincent de Paul Sacred Heart Conference, Inc and their food pantry. 🫙🥫🧃

Bring your non-perishable, unopened food items to give to those in need. To our seasonal friends- this is a great way to clean out the pantry before heading north for the summer!

This food pantry helps our local families make ends meet. Food isn’t an option, so when things get challenging it’s comforting to know that these organizations exist to support our local community so that this basic need isn’t a point of struggle. We will have this box for a few weeks- make sure to bring in your donation when you join us for class! 💚🙏🏼💚
