Punxsutawney Area Hospital celebrated National Rural Health Day at the Annual Rural Health Conference hosted by IRMC and IUP. Staff attended great sessions and were able to mingle with their colleagues from across the region. Dr. Simpson moderated a session on the topic of Policy and Practices for cost reduction. Dr. Bryan Doverspike was honored and received Rural Health Impact Award from IRMC & IUP. Katie Donald was honored and named the Pennsylvania Community Rural Health Leader of the Year by the Pennsylvania Office of Rural Health for 2025. Congrats to both recipients!
