The health, safety and well-being of every horse in our care continue to be our highest priority. Our team is maintaining strict sanitation protocols throughout the facility, including regular disinfection of stalls, handling areas, equipment and high-touch surfaces. We remain committed to providing a clean and controlled environment for all appointments, procedures and daily care.
We also encourage clients to follow strong biosecurity practices at home, especially when managing horses that may have been exposed. Maintaining distance is one of the most effective steps owners can take in reducing the chance of spread between horses. Any horse that may have been exposed should be kept at least 30 feet away from other horses, including those within the same barn. This separation helps prevent direct contact and reduces the risk of accidental transfer through shared equipment, fences or handlers. Horses should not share buckets, tack, hay nets, pitchforks, halters or lead ropes, and we recommend using clean clothing or disposable PPE when handling quarantined horses. Changing clothes, washing hands thoroughly and disinfecting footwear or using boot covers are simple but important steps in keeping other horses safe.
We appreciate the partnership and care our clients show in maintaining strong biosecurity. Your cooperation helps protect your horses, your neighbors and the horses entrusted to us. If you have questions about safe handling, scheduling or current precautions at our facility, our team is here to help.
