Here at Green Valley Orthodontics we focus in early intervention for children who experience troubles in mouth, breathing and poor sleep quality. If your child tosses and turns all night they may be experiencing a lack of oxygen. This can translate into learning and behavioral issues and other health concerns, including constant sicknesses. In this case, we were able to use palatal expansion at age 6 to broaden the palate which lowers the nasal cavity. This allows much better oxygen flow through the nose. Nasal breathing allows over 20% MORE oxygen to the brain and body for BETTER more regenerative sleep. In this case we have attained amazing expansion, better sleep, and better quality of life!! Please talk about this to your friends so we can raise awareness of early intervention orthodontics to help kids who struggle with a narrow palate, posterior crossbites, and mouth breathing, poor sleep quality, tooth grinding, ADHD diagnosis and bed wetting issues.
