The RFPT Story

Just like any PNW story, it started with a cup of coffee. Owners Kim Bisson and Susan Hays were working at a large corporate clinic together in the Puyallup area and, after meeting over coffee, decided that they wanted to break away from the normal physical therapy setting. They wanted a place that was not stagnant or boring, but instead was lively, fun, and a highlight to a patient’s day. After a year of hard work and a lot of patience, Rainier Family Physical Therapy (RFPT) opened in May 2008!

Now in our 10th year since opening, RFPT has met some of the best people in the PNW and continues to serve the greater Puyallup, Graham, and Tacoma area. RFPT has seen tremendous growth since opening but has not lost its identity. Our team continues to provide high-quality care in a comfortable, friendly, and fun environment.

RFPT is a clinic unlike any other that provides personalized treatment plans with clinical staff that are highly trained in strain-counter-strain, fascial counter-strain, Kinesio taping, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to promote overall healing and wellness. We don’t just treat the symptoms, we find and treat the source of the problem! We frequently treat the following conditions:

  • Muscle, Tendon, and Ligament tear/strain/sprain/pull/rupture
