THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THIS TYPE OF TEST:
* This is NOT a “PCR” test (so typically NOT recommended by most airlines for travel…it IS however, best used for getting test results back quickly…to get your child back into school-please check with YOUR school… to get back to work, getting into a sporting event or concert or restaurant, etc.)
* RESULTS in 15 minutes!
* MUST use a “SMART PHONE” (the company we are using requires the smart phone platform for booking appointments, payments and result notifications… a computer will NOT work and booking in person will NOT work…)
* After your appointment is booked (again, only through your smart phone: access our Kirk’s Pharmacy website…use the Covid testing tab) go to the location you chose, park in the allocated spot and CALL FROM YOUR CAR

What is PrEP?

PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) is a medicine that people at risk for HIV take to prevent getting HIV from s*x or injection drug use.
Currently approved PrEP medications are a tablet that is taken once per day.
When taken as prescribed, PrEP is highly effective!

Kirks pharmacy is opening our PrEP and Sexual Health clinic in June 2021!

History

Kirk’s Pharmacy started in Eatonville, WA in 1929, then named Drug Store under the ownership of Leonard Swanson. In addition to being a pharmacy, Drug Store was a soda fountain, US Post Office, and a dress shop.

In 1940, Lou Grant and George Hagan bought the pharmacy. They renamed it to Rexall Drug and removed the soda fountain. The post office and dress shop became a barber shop and beauty parlor.

In 1965, Bob and Betty Allison became the majority shareholder in the pharmacy and changed the name again to Eatonville Drug Company.

In 1981, Skip Colton purchased the pharmacy from Bob and Betty. He completely renovated the entire pharmacy building, removing the barber shop and beauty salon during the process to expand the pharmacy. Under Skip's ownership the name changed to Colton’s Pharmacy. In 1986, Kirk Heinz was hired by Skip to manage and run the pharmacy.
