We are proud of all the students in this program. What a great opportunity! Good job.

Well, as it happens in agriculture, litter #2 didn't go as well as we would have liked. We had to pull some pigs and it was a little dicey for a while, but our students showed real grit, a few of them stayed after school, and we have 8 live piglets that are doing well right now (we did lose one). That makes 19 pigs born at Green Acres today.

People talk about hands-on learning, but today we had "hands and arms IN" learning!
Kids who had never done it before were quick to don a glove and try to pull pigs. It never ceases to amaze us how willing our students are to do whatever it takes to make things happen. We had a parent on the phone advising us, and a former student was here multiple times to help out. Thanks to all who were involved in making this day a success!
