From bump to baby!!!

I worked with Andrea to create a thoughtful breastfeeding plan and kept both parents reassured and informed. Prepared, not overwhelmed.

Since the baby arrived, we’ve been texting and troubleshooting in the hospital - because when I’m on your team, I’m with you beyond the consult. When you go home, I go home with you. 🌸

Short answer: YES! 😊

Noticing blood in your breastmilk can be alarming, but the good news is that it’s usually not a threat to your baby’s health. You have options:

- 🍼 Feed directly
- 🧪 Mix with other milk
- 🧊 Pump and dump

What’s most important is addressing the root cause, which is often linked to milk duct or ni**le issues due to latch problems, fl**ge sizing or inflammation.

Seeking guidance from a qualified IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) can make a big difference in resolving the issue and preventing it from happening again.

Rest assured, it’s generally safe to feed your baby in the meantime. 🚼💖

If you notice other symptoms (e.g., fever, severe breast pain, redness, or if the bleeding persists), contact a healthcare provider promptly. 🩺🩺
