Help Dad's Heart

Hi! Remember us, you were all there for us back in 2009 when my dad needed a mechanical heart device to save his life. He later received an actual heart transplant in 2016. However since 2021 he lost his transplant care due to the poor mannerisms and life threatening actions of a doctor. Since then he has not been able to get the proper care he needs for transplant and everyday is fighting to stay alive. He is in good spirits given the circumstances, and as always we thank you all for being there for us all those years ago.

Update: The Christmas season is upon us. This is Dad's first year w/ his new heart and no heart machine after 7 years! It has been a struggle financially thus far and a harder Christmas for us. But we have a tree & family and that's all that matters! Thank you for your continued support. Happy Holidays/Merry Christmas from our family to yours

Update on Dad* First thank you all for continuing to follow this page. It has been a long journey & only going to continue. Dad Got a heart transplant on Saturday June 21st 2016 He is continuing to recover. He was under for about 12 plus hours as the had to take out his LVAD heart machine he had. Thank you for your continued support, thoughts & prayers. -The Tiger Family

Update on Dad: Dad has recently been placed on the Heart Transplant list. He is finishing up some tests and going on the list. Next up a phone call. We have a long road ahead of us and want to thank you all for your continued support. We will keep you update :)

Happy Vad-iversary to my Dad! Today my Dad has had his LVAD for 6 Years it is the original one he got back in 2009. Dad has been working hard to loose weight to get an actual heart. He has lost 50lbs since April and as of yesterday they are going to proceed with testing to get him on the transplant list. Most of the testing has been done in the past and are updating the test to see if anything has changed. My Dad has been strong and has had his good days and bad days, when we started Help Dad's Heart back in 2009 we had no idea what they future held for us and thanks to this machine and faith we have got to spend more time with him. I wanted to share this news with you all as he has enjoyed knowing there are others out there.

STATUS UPDATE: Dad is currently working on getting an actual heart. He has been trying to loose weight and is down 30lbs in about 2 months. He is motivated and determined to get a Heart to spend more time with the Family. Thank You for your thoughts and Prayers. :) From Dad and Family

This past Saturday I got to go to a Heart Failure Symposium with my parents. I realize sometimes I forget that my Dad is sick and was reminded I have been and continue to be blessed with more time with him. He wants to try to get an actual Heart now....
