We are loving time with fresh snow, self-care, and family and friends. Each Christmas Eve morning, we join hundreds in our town for a road march to celebrate our service men and women far from loved ones over the holiday season. We walk a 4 mile loop through the city streets singing carols and chatting with neighbors.
This is a great way to be reminded of how lucky we are and why we can live the way we do.
Over the next few days, family and friends will drop in and share gifts and treats, wine and time.

What are some of your favorite holiday traditions?

In the hustle and bustle, carve out quiet time for resetting energy and emotions. Practice your meditation, reiki, and energy hygiene and offer space for others to do the same.

10 acres of paths through over a million Christmas lights and countless diaramas and scenes and this is one of five pictures that I took.
Santa, finding a moment of calm with his family in all the activity and chaos around them.
Santa knows.
How do you find calm in the chaos?

"I was looking to register for an event and I can't find it?"
"Are you OK?"

It doesn't exist.
I cancelled it. (Yes, I'm ok).
I cancelled all events for next week.
Why?
Because I operate two companies.
Usually, they dovetail nicely and one is busy while the other rests.
I'm taking personal rests when I can, and that means letting go of things I don't want to do and making choices for the things I want to do- and sometimes that's saying no to a fun thing.
Next week, with , I will be in PA, back to NY, down to VA and back, and then to FL.
There's self-care and fun with friends and family built into those trips but it's a lot of miles and a lot of energy.
I am abundant. I've built the life I want to live.

Enjoy these moments.
So many are stressed by what they 'should' do, what they 'have to' do.
Folks are worried about money or presents under the tree and for friends and family.
Practice the pause.
It's ok to say no.
It's ok to not do something you don't want to do.
It's ok to toss outdated, unhealthy traditions and try new practices.
How do you make time for what you love about this season? What are you saying no to?

Ornaments were on my tree as a kid. There were loose candy canes, but the ones inside the horses were special.
I don't know where the OG ornaments ended up.
We made more with my kids when they were small.
Again, through time and love changes, the ornaments vanished or got ruined.
This was the year for them to return. Easy to make. Pretty on the tree. And smiles and stories bouncing around among friends and family.
Some holiday traditions we release, for whatever reason.
Some we cherish and preserve.

The moon has been magnificent these last days.
I'm not ready to talk about it.

What I will say, is that this tea is amazing. I'm prepping for a vendor market tomorrow (Hadley-Luzerne school 8:30 - 2 pm), looking at the snow shimmering in the sun outside, and drinking this beautiful tea I purchased from in Harrisonburg, VA.

I'm sharing this moment with you as I wait for the tea kettle to whistle. The experience of the tea begins with moon water, heated in a kettle on the stove. It's not simply the drink. It's the mindful process of creating the experience.

Mindful. Self-care. Honoring my creative flow and the role procrastination plays in that process.
