While traveling on the NYS Thruway I was happy to see that they included a private room for pumping and breastfeeding moms at this brand new rest stop. This would be especially handy for moms who need to pump while traveling. The room was basic, with a chair, a table, and a plug for a breastpump. There are also comfortable seating areas throughout the travel plaza for those moms who are comfortable breastfeeding in public. I was sure to leave my business card on the table, haha!

In honor of Veteran’s Day Weekend, I am grateful to be able to announce that parents with VA CCN (Veterans Affairs Community Care Network) can get their lactation consult with me completely covered by their health insurance! I am so thankful for the service and sacrifice of veterans and their families and am happy to get to be a small part of helping to nurture them!

What a welcome for Aimee Woodhouse, of Aimee Lactation Consulting! Thank you to everyone who gave Aimee the warmest of ARCC welcomes.

Aimee Lactation Consulting was born out of a passion for filling a need in our community. Aimee has recognized the difficulty that new mothers can have with breastfeeding after they leave the hospital and especially the lack of in-home lactation care available in our region. She is excited to be able to provide this vital service to the families of Warren, Washington, and Saratoga Counties, and beyond! Many major health insurance plans are accepted.

It is an amazing step in access to breastfeeding support for all mothers that I am able to accept all CDPHP plans, including medicaid. This has been a passionate goal of mine and I am so happy to be able to serve so many more mothers with this step!
