On June 22nd, 2025, Plumas Community Hospice held its annual Hospice Volunteer Recognition Event at Pangaea Cafe & Pub catered by Jessie's Joint Yummy!

The Plumas Community Hospice Board came together to create a meaningful celebration for the volunteers. Presenting them with gift cards from local businesses:

It is with somber hearts that we at Plumas Community Hospice say goodbye one of our volunteers, Lisa Hopman. Lisa served our community over two decades as a hospice volunteer. Her smile brightened the room. She had a fighting spirit. She owned a kind and generous heart. She adventured forward in life with the drive to always learn, and to share her wisdom and time with others through various nonprofits. She dedicated her time with a gentle diligence. We were blessed to know her.🕊️🦋
