🌟 Feel Good Friday 🌟
This week, our blog focused on an important and often misunderstood experience: time blindness, especially as it relates to Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
For many people with ADHD, time doesn’t always feel linear or predictable. Minutes can slip by unnoticed, deadlines can feel suddenly urgent, and even well-intentioned plans can be harder to follow through on—not because of lack of effort, but because of how the brain processes time.
At Jerry Walker Therapy Services, we want to gently remind you: struggling with time does not mean you are lazy, careless, or incapable. It means you may need different tools, support, and compassion.
Awareness is powerful. When we understand time blindness, we can replace self-criticism with curiosity:
✨ “What support would help me stay on track?”
✨ “How can I make time more visible in my day?”
✨ “What systems work with my brain instead of against it?”
Small adjustments—like external reminders, visual timers, and breaking tasks into manageable steps—can make a meaningful difference. But just as important is self-grace. You are not behind; you are learning how your brain works.
As you head into the weekend, take this with you: progress is not about perfect time management—it’s about finding rhythms that support your real life.
Wishing you a grounded, gentle, and encouraging Feel Good Friday 💛
