🌿 This Week’s Wellness Win 🌿
At Americare, Wellness isn’t just a program – it’s a way of life. Through Flourish Wellness, we create opportunities for residents to live with vitality, meaning, and personal fulfillment at every age and ability level.

Dimension of Wellness: Social

Activity: Reminiscing & Singing

Story: Our sweet, quiet-natured Garland, who prefers to be called “Buzz”, absolutely wowed us on Wednesday!!! During our party, he surprised everyone by singing a few verses of “The End”, a song he once performed, at Quincy Senior High School’s 1960 “New Faces” talent show. His voice earned a standing ovation back then… and another one yesterday! 👏🏻👏🏻
There were tears, smiles, and full hearts all around.
With the loving encouragement of staff and residents, Buzz has set a personal goal, for 2026, to attend more social activities, and he is doing wonderfully. We are so happy, and proud, to see him flourishing, here at Adams Pointe 🎶💙

🌿 This Week’s Wellness Win 🌿

Activity: Peace, Love, & Disco party

Story: Today we took a trip back to the 1970s, with a “Peace, Love, & Disco celebration!!! We enjoyed listening to classic ’70s & disco hits, while reminiscing about dances that were popular during that time!! We also enjoyed a spread, of tasty treats from the era, such as Bridget’s cocktail meatballs, stuffed celery, Lipton onion dip with chips, Chex mix, Netta’s famous Watergate salad, RC Cola, and crème soda. It was a joyful day filled with great music, delicious memories, and lots of fun, dressing up!! A special thanks to Care Partner, Gracee,for graciously spending the day with us, and helping with all, of the festivities!!! You were an absolute delight!!! 🤗 🪩🕺✌️☮️

Thank you, so much, to Pat Tyler, and Brenda Thomas, from Cathedral of Worship Church, for ministering to us, Tuesday evening!! It was a wonderful evening, of love, and encouragement!! Pat Tyler, also shared about the “Well House”, here in Quincy, where she serves as Program Director, and the great things that the Lord, has enabled the ministry to do, to help women, who have been incarcerated, transition back into society.
