It’s pretty special when we get to welcome generational medical students! Around 30 years ago, Christopher Trimble trained here and now we’re proud to have his daughter, Lauren Trimble, a 3rd-year medical student, learning with us.

Lauren is currently working alongside Dr. Doug and Dr. Shelly and plans to pursue a career in emergency medicine.

Full circle moments like this remind us how strong the roots of rural healthcare can be!

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month! 💙

Colorectal cancer screening saves lives, and early detection makes a huge difference. A colonoscopy is always the gold standard for screening, but there are other options that may work for some patients.

During the month of March, Guardant Health will be processing screening tests for commercially insured patients ages 45–85. This screening is a simple blood draw, making it an easy option for many patients. You may receive an EOB (Explanation of Benefits) from your insurance—this is not a bill and can be disregarded.

If you’ve been putting off your screening, butt seriously…get screened! Talk to your provider about which screening option is right for you.
