Hold this position for 2 minutes daily.

This exercise mainly targets your posterior chain, especially your hamstrings.
If you sit a lot, they’re often not truly “tight,” but rather underused and lacking control.

That’s exactly where this position can help.

You bring your leg into a stretched position and hold it with control.
This doesn’t just improve flexibility, it also improves your awareness and control in that range.

Important to understand:
Stretching alone is not the solution to pain or poor posture.

But it can be a useful piece of the puzzle.

Why?

Because you’re exposing your body to new ranges of motion and teaching it to feel safe there.
This can help reduce tension and gradually improve mobility over time.

The key point is:
👉 a combination of mobility, strength, and control

That means not just stretching,
but also learning to actively control and strengthen these positions.

That’s what most modern approaches focus on:
not just passive stretching, but building a more resilient body.

This is not a magic fix.
But it’s a simple way to introduce regular movement into your routine and build better habits.

Especially if you sit a lot or feel stiff, even 2 minutes a day can make a difference.

Over time ignoring small stresses, worries, and fears can be like leaving a car light on overnight—a slow drain on our emotional resources. 💡

If you are going through a difficult situation, at work or in your personal life right now ask yourself, “What can I do to make it better?” 💛

Go inward and search for meaningful solutions or ways to give yourself a positive boost. ⚡️

This may also mean researching ways to exit the situation.🚪

Just like it’s great to be mindful of what your limits are, it’s also great to be ready when the timing is right to make that change. ✌️

I did something new this afternoon during a break from massaging.

I’ve always wanted to try some kind chair exercise or chair yoga ~

I never took time to do it ~ I kept telling myself ~ don’t bother it won’t do much

You know what I realized ~

Some movements were easier than some ~ but it all felt good to move my body even if it was more in a somewhat beginner way.

After this 10 minute video I added a few glute activation exercises.

I can tell my muscles and blood circulation is a little better.

I am challenging myself to do this 10 minute video every day this week ~ so that I can continue to encourage my clients any movement is better than no movement.

I encourage you to do this with everyday this week and see how you feel at the end of the week.

A 10 minute beginner chair exercise workout designed specifically for people who have been sedentary and looking to start moving again. The class has gentle...
