I bought a wig from the beauty supply last week. Wanting to change my hair for my birthday party, but knowing I wasn’t going to keep that style, and thinking I’d switch it up for a bit while I’m growing my hair out…
Not being a wig wearer I just thought… if it’s cute… buy it. 🤷🏽♀️
Instantly my face was irritated, and after constantly rubbing and scratching doe a few days I just couldn’t take it anymore. I knew it was synthetic, but 😳 good Lord, this can’t be what synthetic is like. My face was tender for 2 days, then it felt like sandpaper, and today I finally see the damage.
It looks like quite a bit of what I see on the treatment room, and I can only imagine that many have become so used to the irritation they don’t realize where it’s coming from, or they think it just comes with the territory.
I don’t know any skin care products that can prevent irritation while wearing, and again, I’m not a wig person…
but I don’t think any wig is cute enough to damage your skin, and I think if you’re going to wear them regularly, it’s worth making an investment in quality ones that won’t do damage.
If your skin is damaged from wearing wigs, this is the time to come get some help while you get on the path to a new investment in wigs.
It’s Chemical Peel Season… so you need to fix some things? 👀
