- Letting myself feel my emotions instead of trying to “fix” them, push them down, or forcing them to go away.
- Left nostril breathing throughout the day (cover your right nostril + take slow, deep breaths through your left… this activates your parasympathetic nervous system + feminine, receiving energy)
- Keeping my mornings low stimulation (no phones, no doom scrolling, no TV, my main priority is me in the morning). I ask my body before I even get out of bed “what do we need this morning?” and then I do that. Sometimes it’s journal, stretch, a walk, reading, reiki + breathwork, etc.
- Getting sunlight in my eyes within 10 minutes of waking which helps reset your cortisol / circadian rhythm.
- Drinking water before caffeine this helps to stop adrenaline spikes
- Creating tiny moments of safety throughout my day (warm drinks, sun on my skin, slow getting ready, legs up the wall, red light…)
- Speaking to myself like I’m someone I love. Your inner dialogue = your internal environment. Harshness keeps your body in stress mode.
- Protecting my energy !!!!! (saying no, logging off socials, not over-explaining, stepping away when I need a break)
- Moving my body in a soft, intuitive way. Think: swaying, stretching, slow walks…not punishing workouts. This helps discharge stress instead of suppressing it.
- Putting one hand on my heart + one on my womb and actually slowing down. This signals safety to your body fast and brings you out of your head.
- Self Reiki !!!! 🤲✨✨✨ even 2 minutes can completely shift your nervous system/inner state.
if I’m being honest…Reiki is the thing that changed this for me at the deepest level because it’s not just a habit, it’s a modality that works with your energy + your nervous system at the ROOT
it gently releases stored stress, emotions, & trauma from the body, unburdens your nervous system, & creates safety from the inside out
