The state-of-the-art facility is the first of its kind in North Carolina and allows clients to undergo medically assisted detox in a comfortable, healing environment. Treatment includes access to on-site holistic practices including massage, acupuncture, yoga and meditation, fitness equipment, chef-prepared meals, and an expert clinical staff for individual and group therapies. You may have seen “legal” Delta-9 products at gas stations or online and assumed they are mild or low risk. What most people don’t realize is how different products can be from traditional cannabis.

Delta-9 is created through a chemical process and infuses the result into gummies, vapes, and beverages. Potency varies widely from brand to brand, and many products contain far higher THC concentrations than people expect. Testing is inconsistent, which means the actual dose, purity, and chemical byproducts can shift from batch to batch.

A DUI does not always mean someone needs long-term treatment, but it can be a clear signal to pause and reassess.

New Waters Recovery offers a short-term (seven day minimum) residential (inpatient) option that can be used proactively after a DUI, helping individuals reflect, stabilize, and address behaviors early.

Often choosing treatment preemptively may be seen as a constructive alternative to more severe consequences, demonstrating accountability and willingness to make changes.

In some cases, treatment is presented as an option instead of jail time, but that is up to individual judges at sentencing.
