"This free and virtual group is for pregnant and postpartum moms and birthing people with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Some common challenges for those with ADHD are completing organizational tasks, paying attention/focusing, talking excessively, impulse control, emotional regulation (or frustration tolerance), and time management. Pregnancy and postpartum period can bring up unique challenges for those with ADHD. Our online groups help you connect with others, talk about your experiences, learn about helpful tools and resources, and receive and give support to one another. These groups are led by PSI-trained support group leaders who have lived and/or professional experience in navigating ADHD during the perinatal period."

This past week, Roxanne Rosenberg, owner of Rosenberg Perinatal, went to Washington to participate in the kickoff of SAMSHA's Maternal Mental Health Task Force. Roxanne, along with the Anchor Perinatal Wellness co-founders, will share her expertise in creating a higher level of care structure for perinatal mental health as well as represent the voices and experiences of so many PMAD survivors to create policies that support birthing people and growing families.

"The Task Force on Maternal Mental Health, co-led by the Office on Women’s Health and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), will identify, evaluate, and make recommendations to coordinate and improve activities related to addressing maternal mental health conditions and co-occurring substance use disorders. There will be a focus on mental health equity as well as trauma-informed practices." -from the Office on Women's Health website.

We are so excited that these voices are joining the SAMSHA Maternal Mental Health Taskforce. The Anchor Perinatal Wellness team has forged a new path in creating a higher level of care for perinatal clients in NC.
