It was sudden. Your dad fell from a ladder and suffered a severe spinal cord and leg injury. It was a striking moment that changed the trajectory of his life, and now you're his caregiver. It was gradual. You noticed your mom putting things away in odd places. Next, she began getting lost while driv...

Effective Monday, February 16, WakeMed will lift seasonal visitor restrictions across all hospital locations and Healthplex emergency departments.

Children under age 12 will once again be permitted in hospital nursing units, patient care areas and waiting rooms. A decline in the community spread of respiratory viruses allows us to safely return to normal visitation. 🏥

Thank you for helping WakeMed put the health and safety of our patients, families and staff first.

Love that lasts for generations. 💕

This Valentine’s Day, we’re celebrating a full-circle moment. This sweet baby is wearing the very same WakeMed hat her mom wore home after being discharged from the WakeMed NICU 32 years ago.

From one tiny Valentine to the next — generation after generation. 🩷🏥
