🤧 RSV or allergies? If your little one is sniffly, it can be tough to know what’s really going on. WakeMed Children’s Medical Director Dr. Damilola Joseph breaks it down 👇

RSV is a contagious respiratory virus that peaks in the fall and winter and can be more serious for infants, certain children, pregnant women and older adults. Allergies, on the other hand, aren’t contagious and often flare with environmental triggers like pollen, dust or pets.

☎️ Call your child’s provider if your baby:
• Is under 8 weeks old with a fever
• Is hard to wake or very tired
• Has breathing difficulties
• Has fewer than 3 wet diapers in 24 hours

We’re here to help keep your little ones safe and healthy. 💙
