When Can You Get Glutathione After Surgery?

Glutathione is one of the most powerful antioxidants we offer — but timing matters when it comes to post-operative care.

🕒 Typical Timeline

For most patients, glutathione injections can be started 1–2 weeks after surgery, once the body stabilizes from anesthesia and early healing begins.

🩺 Major Surgeries

(Ex: facelift, rhinoplasty, tummy tuck, lipo, BBL, orthopedic, abdominal procedures)
➡️ Recommended wait: 2–4 weeks
This allows the inflammatory healing phase to progress normally.

🧪 Minor Surgeries

(Ex: mole removal, dental surgery, small plastic surgery procedures, laparoscopy)
➡️ Safe to start around 7–10 days, pending surgeon clearance.

💡 Why Timing Matters

Your body needs a controlled inflammatory response early in healing. Starting glutathione too soon may disrupt essential early repair processes or stress the liver while it’s still recovering from anesthesia.

✔️ Best Practice

Always get clearance from your surgeon — but in most cases:
1–2 weeks is appropriate for general procedures, and 2–4 weeks for major surgery.
