Congratulations to Chef Kyle Fletcher and his team from Glasshouse Kitchen - winners of the 2026 Cooking for the Kids competition! 🥇🏆🎉

Chef Kyle delighted guests with a delicious Surf & Turf appetizer featuring Sterling Silver Ribeye and yellowfin tuna, Seared Sterling Silver Ribeye with smoked potato puree, and a Trophy Brewing El Hombre Tiramisu.

A huge thanks to all of our chefs, guests, donors and vendors who make this event possible! Because of you, Overflowing Hands will help launch a pilot program in Wake County to provide nutritious and scratch made meals to children in school cafeterias. Stay tuned for more details!

🔥 FINAL CHEF SHOWDOWN — FEBRUARY 24! 🔥

The Cooking for the Kids 2026 chef competition is heading into its ultimate night — and you won’t want to miss the delicious battle for the $10,000 grand prize! 🏆

All proceeds support Overflowing Hands’ mission to fight food insecurity and empower children and families through community programs.

Here are the chefs who have earned their spot in the finale:

Round 2 of the Cooking for the Kids culinary showdown kicks off this week — and while the top local Triangle chefs face off, the real focus is the high regard and camaraderie between the chefs, while supporting a meaningful cause.

All proceeds benefit Overflowing Hands and their mission to serve children and fight food insecurity.

Last week, we had the honor of attending Round 1 featuring Chef Harry Monds of Lula & Sadie's and Bobby McFarland of Wye Hill Kitchen & Brewing. Their incredible six-course dinner made it clear that both were winners to us.
