As you may know we run a non-profit rescue in addition to our veterinary practice. Recently we have been over run with requests to save more and more dogs. Shelters are overrun with abandoned pets and we receive calls daily to help. Just today Dr. Covington has worked tirelessly to spay/neuter and provide dental care for 5 dogs that we rescued just yesterday. All while also seeing clients. In order to continue this work we need help.
How can you help?
-Sharing our post about available dogs is the BIGGEST help. The more attention that our dogs get the better chance they have at finding a good home which allows us to rescue more dogs.
-Monetary donations
-We are not a rescue that typically asks for monetary donations, but with the increased need for help our rescue could use some extra help as well. We happily accept cash and check donations made out to Mitchell Mill Animal Hospital Rescue.
-The average cost to get one of our rescue dogs ready for adoption is around $300 and that does not include food and housing. If you follow us you know that our adoption fees are at that $300 mark and some of our rescues are with us for months.
In the next few days we are going to be bringing in close to TEN more dogs that are not only going to need to be spayed/neutered, but also groomed, and have dental cleanings. We could use all the help you can give. No donation is too small and we will be happy to provide you with a receipt for tax purposes.
Thank you again for your continued support of our practice and rescue! Please enjoy this picture of the sweet babies we were able to rescue this week.
