Pain during s*x (also called dyspareunia) is common, but it’s not something you should have to live with.
Possible causes include:
• Vaginal dryness or low estrogen
• Pelvic floor muscle tension
• Endometriosis
• Infections or inflammation
• Scar tissue after childbirth or surgery
• Hormonal changes during breastfeeding or menopause
Pain with s*x can affect both physical comfort and emotional wellbeing, but effective treatments are available.
