What you should know about perimenopause…

⏰It’s the transitional phase before menopause—lasting on average 4-6 years, but sometimes longer.

🔎Early signs include: subtle cycle changes, mood swings, sleep disruption, hot flashes or heavier periods.

🛀Skin and hair changes? You’re not imagining it. Lower estrogen → changes like acne or thinning hair may show up.

✅Good news: effective treatments exist—from hormone therapy to hormonal birth control to non-hormonal strategies.

💪Remember: no two women experience this the same way. Individualized care makes all the difference.

Reminder: Cervical cancer is highly preventable with regular screening and follow-up care — don’t skip your Pap exam!

Here’s what the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommends for people at average risk:

📅 Ages 21–29: Pap test every 3 years
📅 Ages 30–65: Choose one of the following:
✔️ Pap test every 3 years
✔️ HPV test every 5 years
✔️ Co-testing (Pap + HPV) every 5 years

If you’ve had abnormal results in the past or have additional risk factors, your provider may recommend more frequent screening.

❄️The holidays can bring more than just cheer. Stress, busy schedules, and fatigue can take a toll!

One of our favorite hacks for caring for yourself during the holiday season? Saying “no” when needed! The pressure to be everywhere and do everything is real, but you don’t always have to say “yes.” Take care of yourself and preserve your energy for what matters most to YOU! 💪

Other simple ways to support your health this season:
✨Take a minute out of your day for some focused breathing when you need a reset.
✨When possible, take the opportunity for a walk outdoors. Even if just for a few minutes!
✨Ask for help. This might put you out of your comfort zone, but it’s rarely not worth it. We have to look out for each other!

You’ve got this! 💪

Nitrous Oxide Is Here!

Now available at both office locations to help make in-office procedures more comfortable and stress-free.

You asked, we answered — here’s what to know 👇

💨 How it works:
You simply breathe it in through a mask and control your own comfort. It starts working within minutes and wears off 5–10 minutes after you stop.

😴 Will I be asleep?
No — you’ll stay awake, alert, and in control, just more relaxed.

✨ How does it feel?
Many patients describe feeling calm, light, or a little giggly or tingly.

🩺 Is it safe?
Yes! Nitrous oxide has been used safely for over a century. Side effects like dizziness or nausea are uncommon and fade quickly.

🚗 Can I drive home?
Yes — most patients are ready to drive about 10 minutes later.

⚕️ What’s it used for?
Great for procedures like IUD insertions, biopsies, and LEEPs.

💲 Cost:
$125 for most procedures, $200 for longer ones (like LEEP). Currently not covered by insurance.

Have questions? We’re happy to discuss whether Nitrous Oxide might be a good option for you at your next appointment.

🍎 Did you know women’s immune systems shift during different life stages like pregnancy, perimenopause, and beyond?

Support your immunity this fall with:
✔️ Sleep
✔️ Nutritious foods
✔️ Stress management + exercise
✔️ Preventive care (like flu + COVID vaccines)
