With profound sadness, we share that on Saturday, September 6th, Scotia peacefully completed her battle with esophageal cancer. While she has received the peace that surpasses all understanding, we are left grieving the loss of an incredible daughter, sister, cousin, and friend.

If you knew Scotia, you know she would want us to honor her by allowing ourselves time to grieve while continuing to celebrate her life well lived.

The Celebration of Life details are as follows:
Friday, September 12th

If you are able to attend the service, we kindly ask that you wear pink—Scotia’s favorite color. This simple tribute reflects her love for life, her joy, and her brightness, and it allows us to honor her spirit together.

We invite you to keep her loved ones in your prayers. While we didn’t want to accept that this day could come, nothing could truly prepare us for her absence. Your thoughts, prayers, and continued love are deeply appreciated.

Just because beliefs have been with you for a long time, they aren't necessarily accurate or emotionally healthy. It's never too late to lay down the burden of an emotionally neglectful childhood.

Learning the wrong ideas about feelings sends you in the wrong direction.

Self-love can be as simple as not putting your birthday cake in the hands of others. Every year, I take some time away to bake my own cake. If things go well, I get a cake that doesn't compromise in any way. If things don't go well, I can try again OR I can bake something else! Either way, I never put the responsibility of making my birthday great on anyone else and it's a win for us all. This year, everything went well with this Ferrero Rocher Cake aka Coma Cake! It has Nutella frosting and the most divine Hazelnut Praline Chocolate filling! Taking care of yourself is not a burden; it is a privilege and a joy!

Five years ago, my business baby was born. At the time, I didn't have a grand vision of what BCG would be--I didn't even have a grand vision of what I would be--but I knew that I wanted to help people and I was willing to learn about this entrepreneurship thing. ' At this milestone, my baby has helped more people than I imagined possible 5 years ago, but none more than me. I am so grateful for the lessons, the connections, the gifts, and the journey! I'm thankful for the job too😉 Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way, as this certainly has not been a solo journey! I look forward to many more years of helping and healing together 🧡💗
