We’re excited to welcome you to our October Clinician Connection event! Here’s a brief introduction to our featured speaker:
Christina Cooper, MSW, LCSW, ACS
Christina Cooper delivers highly energized, interactive keynote presentations, immersive training experiences, and consultancy services on personal and professional development, mental wellness, and organizational health. Courage, character, and connection are the hallmarks of Christina’s mission. They are what drive her transformational work with women, leaders, and organizations.
With over 25 years of experience in mental health, international research, human trafficking and sexual exploitation advocacy, program development, broadcast journalism, higher education, and nonprofit leadership, Christina is equipped with a unique understanding of and compassion for the needs of women, clinicians, culturally diverse populations, leaders, and organizations.
As a licensed clinical social worker and behavioral healthcare leader, Christina currently serves as Director of Training and Development at Greenleaf Psychological and Support Services. In this role, she is the architect of all training and professional development efforts within the Greenleaf organization. She provides clinical oversight and guidance to associate and independently licensed clinicians alike, leading trauma-informed culture-building and strategic programming for the Greenleaf brand.
As the owner of her North Carolina-based holistic leadership development business, Living Waters Wellness Institute, Christina helps women who suffer from perfectionism break free from performative behaviors to live lives aligned with their divine purpose. She is passionate about inspiring and equipping leaders to find deeper meaning and fulfillment in their personal lives, work, and relationships. Christina asks the hard questions and provides practical tools that stimulate personal, professional, spiritual, and intellectual growth while bolstering the cultural health of the organizations she serves.
Christina is originally from Michigan. She was born and reared in the Detroit metropolitan area in a Jewish Pullman town just north of the city. She has fond memories of her childhood there. Christina loves reading, biking, traveling, taking long walks, hiking, listening to live jazz, beach bumming, writing, and singing. She also enjoys being both the audience member and actor (not at the same time!) in live theater. You may find Christina wandering around in HomeGoods or Kirkland’s on any given evening, or spending quality time with friends and family. Christina has two young adult sons whom she calls her heartbeats. She has lived in the Raleigh/Durham area for about 3 years.
