MO Rep. Overcast's statement yesterday is one of the most on point, precise and truthful statements regarding the ma*****na lobby groups assault on the h**p h**p industry. They are using "public safety" as their rhetoric but in reality they are using government policy to crush their competition and control market share. Not cool. Like the ma*****na industry, alcohol industry, to***co industry, gambling industry, and pharmaceutical industry, the h**p industry has some bad actors. Crushing a blossoming industry that is primarily family owned, small businesses is not the answer to cleaning up this space. Sensible regulations such as age-gating, child resistant packaging, proper labeling and third party testing is the answer. H**p supporters must unify now to protect your legal access to federally legal h**p products. Act now! A simple 30 second phone call will make a huge difference. You should leave a message for your 2 state Senators AND Senator Mitch McConnell (Ky). He is leading the charge against h**p.

Call the US Capitol switchboard at 202-224-3121 and ask to speak to your state Senators. In NC, they are Thom Tillis and Ted Budd. If you don't know who they are, the operator will transfer you. Be polite. Tell them to oppose any language in the the upcoming Appropriations bill that will ban h**p products. Briefly explain how h**p products have impacted your life.
