Labral tears in the hip effectively causes a loss of the suction seal and support for the natural function of the hip. At left is a model showing a tear that has detached from the underlying bone and at right is a repaired labrum that had the same type of tear.

Hip flexor pain — pain in the front of your hip could be from your hip flexor BUT if the pain is there with sitting for long and seems to be more painful after activity, it could be related to hip impingement or cartilage damage.
