Dr. Kiran Sainani was born in Columbus, OH but has spent most of her life in NC, calling it home. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for both her undergraduate and graduate studies. She obtained her BA in Chemistry and BS in Dental Hygiene, followed by Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2004. Being in the dental field for over 20 years, Dr. Sainani is very passionate about providing good, quality, and ethical care to her patients.

She loves to help patients with TMJ understand and diagnose their individual needs and treat their unique conditions. She has taken the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain (AACP) residency program and increased her understanding of the human anatomy and temporomandibular disorder by studying the TMJ and Airway thru Cadaver Dissection. She continues to learn through ongoing coursework and her strong desire to help patients. Dr. Sainani is a lifelong learner who practices with a conservative philosophy and advocates for prevention.

Dr. Sainani lives in Apex, NC with her beautiful family and enjoys staying active, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Stress is thought to be a factor in TMJ. Even strenuous physical tasks, such as lifting a heavy object or stressful situations, can aggravate TMJ by causing overuse of jaw muscles, specifically clenching or grinding teeth (also known as bruxism).
Try and find a place in your house where you can be alone and meditate or just relax at least once everyday. Reducing your stress the best you can will help to reduce your pain....

"Dr. Davidian is wonderful! I've suffered with TMJ for many years, got better, but then relapsed due to some dental work. She used her T-SCAN on my bite and fixed the problem.

You do not have to have TMJ to have a bite imbalance. Headaches, ear pain, and facial pain, as well as some other symptoms, may be able to be relieved by getting a bite analysis and having problem teeth/crowns equilibrated.
