In January 2018, Dr. Zane Lapinskes will join Dr. Ben Fischer providing comprehensive primary care in downtown Raleigh. Dr. Lapinskes will see patients of all ages in his direct primary care clinic. Memberships range from $15/month for kids of adult members to $70/month for adults over 60. Dr. Lapinskes' practice is organized around his patients and, as such, he doesn't bill by insurance rules. Your insurance will still be in effect for medical care outside of our office, but here he will work directly for his patients.

Breaking News: WALK IN FLU SHOT CLINIC TODAY WILL HAVE HIGH DOSE FLU SHOTS AVAILABLE

Thanks to Brent Talley at Hayes Barton Pharmacy we will have the high dose flu shots available today, September 13th in our office for members. High dose flu shots are recommended for people who are over 65 by the CDC because of greater risk of serious complications from the flu.

Hayes Barton staff will give the shots at our office and can process the payment through Medicare since it is free for people who have Medicare.

For anyone who doesn’t need the high dose, we will have the regular dose available for $20. Most insurance plans cover the shot, so you can also go to a pharmacy and have it done there if you have commercial insurance.

Let us know if you have any questions. No appointment required, but if you are coming later in the day you may want to call 919-258-2440 to make sure that we still have shots in stock.

As you have seen in the news, there have been several outbreaks of measles in the United States. Measles had previously been considered an eradicated illness in this country due to very effective vaccination programs. Unvaccinated people have brought new cases into the population and that has raised questions about adult immunity.

The CDC guidance on immunizing adults is that the following people are considered immune to measles:
