Is it time to show yourself some love?

Let me guess what's on the Valentine's Day schedule this weekend: chocolate, flowers, and maybe a nice dinner with your favorite wine?

Shout out to Harbison in Columbia SC for an enjoyable 3 night stay this week. Convenient location, attentive staff, nice common areas, healthy food options, and a well equipped workout room. (I never saw anyone else in there, but I certainly appreciated it! 💪🏻)

I travel a lot for work, which means there are always things out of my control - like traffic and weather.

But things I can control, even when I am on the road? Prioritizing sleep. Getting up early. Morning light. Devotion time. Moving my body (some hotel gyms are better than others though). Hydration. Healthy food choices (if I’m driving I bring a lot of my own).

Yes, it takes a little more planning and packing, but I’m worth it. So are you!

A wonderful evening of celebration with our Midtown community. Thank you ! 💎

Got a bonus Gold award last night for most charming event date! 🤩 (shoutout to my youngest for embracing the last minute duty with Mom)

So appreciative for all the midlife women that trust me to be a listening ear, accountability partner, and go to resource as they navigate our changing health and wellness issues in this stage of life. 💗

✨ I’m so honored (and still pinching myself!) ✨

I’ve been named the Best Wellness Coach Gold award winner by Midtown Magazine—and this recognition means the world to me.

To everyone who took the time to vote, share kind words, cheer me on, or trust me with a piece of your health and wellness journey? This award belongs to you.

This moment is way bigger than me. It’s proof that midlife women are done shrinking, done being dismissed, and done accepting exhaustion, brain fog, weight gain, and “that’s just menopause” as the final answer.

🔥 A large scale menopause movement is finally happening.
🔥 Women in midlife are reclaiming their energy, confidence, and power.
🔥 And wellness is no longer about pushing harder—it’s about working smarter, with our brilliant but changing bodies.

I’m deeply honored to do this work and to walk alongside women who are creating their strongest, most vibrant chapter yet.

Today was my first practice on my mat for 2026. I like slower root or yin classes on Sundays to re-set my body and mind for the week ahead. Kim’s message today also really resonated with me (along with hugs, smiles, affirmation cards, and essential oil stones!)

Totally paraphrased and based on my interpretation of what she shared…

“As the new year begins, remember life doesn’t move in straight lines or neat chapters. It moves in contrasts.

Things you choose - and things you would never wish for.
Joy - and hard times.
Goals that stretch you - and events that strengthen you.
Magical moments - and everyday routines.

These contrasts sit side by side, quietly shaping you with purpose. Remember there are still good things unfolding and light ahead working gently in your favor.”

If you are entering 2026 head first and confident with a new sense of purpose? Good for you!

And if you are entering 2026 more gingerly and cautious with mustered hopeful optimism? Good for you!

Make peace with the fact this year, like all others, will have contrasts. Your job is to let them sit side by side. 💗

Let me know your biggest challenge entering the new year in the comments below. I’d love to address them in an upcoming Catalyst Cues blog!

This morning, I celebrated my most important accomplishment of 2025 - finishing reading the Bible cover to cover. I always share this news with friends on December 31st, because every single year? At least one person sees it and decides to pick up the Bible and carve out time with God.

This is the 21st year in a row I have done it, but it is the first time I have shared it on my business page. It felt like the perfect time.

Do you want to strengthen your own faith in 2026? Here are 5 things I suggest:

1) Read the Bible consistently
2) Pray and give thanks daily
3) Find the hidden blessings in every day
4) Appreciate the wonders of nature
5) Love others and find small ways to serve someone every day

Here’s to an abundance of peace and joy for all in 2026! 💗🙏🏻

If you’re grateful… but also super tired, slightly annoyed, and cranking down the AC so you can stand over the stove to cook for your people? This list will feel like home.

Take two minutes for yourself today and read it, because real life deserves a real gratitude list. Especially during the holidays.

I’m finishing up my Thanksgiving menu planning today. Every year, I optimistically get out this copy of Mama Hill’s (my maternal grandmother) dressing recipe.

Side note - I’m Southern born and raised. We never had stuffing. Just “a big ole pan” of dressing.

My mother painstakingly typed out all the steps and printed and gave this to me years ago. She kept insisting that she probably would not be able to make it herself the next year, and I needed to know how. The funny part is, she never did trust me to do it right and kept making it herself anyway. 😆

Now I know she frowns down on me from heaven, as I read the recipe, smile, tuck it back in my book, and proceed to wing it.

Although my engineering brain likes detailed steps, plans, and procedures everywhere else in life - I’m more of a free spirit cook than a recipe follower. And I figure you can’t really mess up something that gets covered in turkey, gravy and cranberry sauce!

What’s your special Thanksgiving family recipe story??

PS - And YES, I make extra veggies! 🙃
