At Easterseals PORT Health, our Club Cuisine classes are all about learning, laughter and flavor! Each session brings something new - seasonal recipes, special techniques and even student-inspired ideas 💛

One of our biggest hits? Sushi Night! 🎌🍣

It started as a student suggestion and was such a hit that we’re bringing it back, this time with even more delicious rolls to make and enjoy together.

From cozy fall cooking to creative desserts, every class is a chance to build confidence, connect with friends and celebrate abilities through the joy of food. Because when we cook together, we grow together! 💫

Easterseals PORT Health is proud to celebrate our team members who are veterans! ❤️

We are honored to have Michael, a Behavioral Health Care Manager on our Tailored Care Management team. Michael served 9 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, reaching the rank of Sergeant. He served in the Infantry and was deployed to Afghanistan.

He shares, "Recognizing those who served in the armed forces on Veterans Day is important because it reflects our nation’s gratitude to everyone who answered the call to duty. It honors their commitment, sacrifice and patriotism in protecting our country."

November is Adoption Awareness Month! We’re excited to share the adoption journey of one of our wonderful families who came together through ESPH's Foster Care and Child Placement program 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦

Tabatha, Chris and their son Aries shared their story of love, support and the meaningful role Easterseals PORT Health played in helping their family come together.

November is National Family Caregivers Month. This month we recognize and celebrate the incredible dedication and compassion that family caregivers show every day 🧡

Meet Rebecca, an ESPH Direct Service Provider and family care giver in Carteret County North Carolina. She lovingly cares for her 30-year-old son Sam, who is deaf and autistic.

Rebecca shares: “Just remember you’re only one person. Take that break when you need it! This is a lifelong journey with your loved one who has a disability, so celebrate the good days.”

Even though Breast Cancer Awareness Month has ended, our support does not stop! Easterseals PORT Health's team proudly stands together in solidarity.

💗 Vanessa, Tailored Care Management Extender, wears pink in remembrance and celebration of her sister-in-law’s life — a woman whose faith, strength and love continue to inspire her every day. “She was a very loving, caring person who was full of hope and love for God. She fought with confidence and the biggest smile on her face, persevering until the end. I wear pink in her honor to say, ‘Thank you for the hope you left with me.’”

💗 Emily, Early Intervention Program Manager, wears pink for her loved ones who have survived breast cancer and those who are currently fighting. She reminds all women to get checked every year and celebrates her mother-in-law’s milestone of being 15 years cancer-free!

💗 Cheryl, Chief Marketing Officer, joined the 2025 Komen Charlotte MORE THAN PINK Walk, which raised over $384,000 for breast cancer research and patient support. After her friend’s diagnosis and double mastectomy this past August, Cheryl walks with a renewed spirit of hope and a deeper understanding of why early detection truly matters.

Let’s continue to spread awareness, support one another and celebrate strength all year long.

Fall festivities are in full swing! 🍂

Our ICS Team in Salisbury, NC hosted a seasonal get-together for clients and group home residents. Participants enjoyed sensory-friendly games, group coloring and even a playful ghost hunt! Afterward, everyone gathered for pizza, cupcakes and other treats while watching a movie together.
