Comparison. Most people only recognize one form of comparison:
➡️ comparing themselves to others

But there are three:

• Comparison to others
• Comparison to your past self
• Comparison to who you think you should be

The last two often go unnoticed—
yet they equally shape how you see yourself, your progress, and your life.

This isn’t about “stop comparing.”
It’s about understanding what kind of comparison is happening—
and how it’s influencing your perspective.

Curious? Watch this short video to see which one is showing up for you.

That awareness alone can shift more than you think.

Neighbor, ever wonder why growth can be hard to see while you’re living it — even when, deep down, you know progress has been made?

On March 24, .michellemeyers is hosting an evening of connection, conversation, and insight at the office in Raleigh:

Progress, By Design: Understanding Your Blueprint to Lead, Relate, and Grow

I’m honored and grateful for the opportunity to share this conversation on how understanding your intrinsic human blueprint can bring greater clarity to how you lead, relate, make decisions, and recognize progress in your life.

Together, we’ll explore:
→ why familiar challenges do not necessarily mean you haven’t grown
→ how your unique hierarchy shapes the way you process stress, change, and opportunity
→ how greater self-understanding can help you recognize progress with more clarity and intention

📅 March 24 | 6:00–7:30 PM
📍7501 Creedmoor Rd, Raleigh
🎟 Complimentary event | Limited seating
📝 Advance registration is appreciated: https://lnkd.in/e2YbbmTB

What shapes how we move through life’s difficult moments, Neighbor?

Nearly three decades ago, a single question about the resilience of the human spirit set me on a path of inquiry that eventually became The Five Facets®.

Today I’m celebrating fifteen years since the first public presentation of this body of work and sharing the story behind the question that changed everything — and what it has revealed over the past fifteen years.

Neighbor, At the center of most major life transitions or losses is some version of this question: How am I going to survive this? How do I navigate this? What am I supposed to do now? After a 7-year string of significant life loss events that included child loss, depression, and infidelity, I found

One of the discoveries that came as I continued developing The Five Facets® framework had to do with the bottom Facet in a person’s hierarchy.

Each of us is born with all five Facets — Academic, Emotional, Physical, Social, and Spiritual — arranged in an intrinsic hierarchy. The Facets impact and influence our lives in varying degrees based on their hierarchy position.

For years I worked to understand the “role” that the Facet with the least daily impact and influence on our lives—the bottom Facet. What I discovered is that it requires the most intentional support.

That insight didn’t come from theory.

It came through experience.

Years ago, during a period when I was working in a very high-pressure environment, I became ill. Stress-eating was at an all-time high. Sleep and exercise were nearly non-existent, and my body was shutting down because my Physical Facet wasn’t being tended to.

I also realized that I can easily sit and work for fourteen or fifteen hours at a stretch, completely absorbed in whatever I’m doing when I’m creating or solving problems.

That experience helped me see something clearly and answered the question I’d been seeking:

The bottom Facet has the least daily impact and influence on our lives, and is what I refer to as “out of sight, out of mind,” which means we must support it intentionally.

Once I understood that interaction, I began making small adjustments to support that Facet more consistently and to begin bringing health back into order.

I share a bit more about that realization in the video below.

Neighbor,
There are moments in life when everything we thought we knew about ourselves gets upended.

After navigating a series of deep personal losses over a seven-year period, I had to face difficult questions, including: Was I still worthy of love, joy, and living the life I truly wanted?

In this conversation for the “I Vote 4 Me” Women’s Summit, hosted by I share parts of that journey — from people-pleasing and questioning my worth, to rediscovering identity, setting boundaries, and learning how to choose myself again.

We talk about grief, healing, dating again, and the inner work required to rebuild self-worth after life’s hardest seasons.

If you’ve ever wondered whether it’s possible to reclaim your voice, your clarity, and your sense of who you are after loss… this conversation is for you.

Fifteen years ago, when I first began presenting The Five Facets®, I could clearly see how the framework helped people heal conflict and grief.

What I didn’t yet see was the scope.

Over time, it became clear that the same understanding that helps us heal also expands what becomes possible — in leadership, relationships, and life direction.

Because when you understand your intrinsic wiring, something shifts.

You stop mislabeling yourself.
And you stop misreading others.

Clarity replaces confusion.

And the choices you make — about how you lead, relate, and move forward — begin to change.

If this sparks your curiosity and you’d like to explore the framework further, follow the linknin the firat imment below.
