🐣 Get outside! Raleigh and the surrounding towns all have wonderful parks that are stroller-friendly. Try to take a walk every day to enjoy the sights of spring and get some Vitamin D.

🌷 Dress in layers. This applies to both you and your baby. We all know how spring days are around here…you might need a sweater in the morning and are in a T-shirt by the afternoon. Whatever you are comfortable wearing, add one layer to your baby.

🍃 Change clothes when you get home. It may seem like overkill but shedding clothes covered with pollen can keep you and your baby from coughing and sneezing.

🐝 Attend some community events! There are so many fun things to do in the Raleigh area this time of year. We recommend checking out a few local accounts to help you find some fun things to do. We like:

Happy First Day of Spring 🌼

We cannot wait for warmer temps and beautiful weather! We also can’t wait to visit some of our favorite outdoor spaces to see everything in bloom, like the daffodils and the cherry blossom trees .

We know how exciting (and emotional 🤪) pregnancy can be, but do you feel prepared to give birth?

Childbirth education could be the answer! We’re often asked when the best time is to take a childbirth education class, and while any time is a good time for more education, we recommend taking our class between your 28th and 34th week of pregnancy.

This gives you time to learn about your options and make any changes before labor 📘

Check out our events page to see when we offer group classes, and go ahead and register.

Come take our next childbirth class and talk to your doulas to hear about all of your options ⬇️

Pacifier or not…what’s right for your baby?

A pacifier can soothe your baby, support safe sleep, and satisfy their sucking reflex, though long-term use may affect teeth. Some babies find comfort in fingers, hands, or extra time at the breast instead.

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer, just what works for your family! As always, our team is here for you, no matter what you choose 💙
