Saturday’s heat wasn’t the only thing firing, so were the rounds in our Mounted Shooting Finals. 💥

After attending the clinic during the week, the top four riders came back to show what they had. Patterns, speed and accuracy.

Each rider walked in hoping for that buckle, and every one of them rode like they meant it.

A hot summers afternoon, good mules, sharp cattle.

Plenty of mules and riders with a bunch of try jumped in to the sorting pen to give team sorting a go. Quick turns, clean cuts, and solid teamwork all the way through.

Always a treat to watch them work together. 🤠🐴

If you’ve ever been to Jake Clark’s Mule Days, you’ve probably seen him long before you ever met him.

Jake has been a familiar face at this sale for decades. And truth be told, you can’t separate Mule Days from the man who built it.

Jake’s story with mules goes back to the 1970s, when he packed into the Wyoming high country and saw firsthand what a good mule could do. While most folks were still choosing horses, Jake noticed something different, mules were tougher, smarter, more sure footed. They didn’t pull back. They didn’t quit. And they took care of the person on their back.

What started as one mule turned into a pack string. Then a riding string.

That belief turned into something bigger, a sale built on the idea that a mule should be represented exactly as it is. No shortcuts. No excuses. Just good animals and good people.

Today, Mule Days brings riders, families, and consignors from across the country , all because one man trusted the mountain sense of a long eared animal and wanted to share that with others.'

The Wyoming sun was beating down, but that didn’t stop the laughs, the dust, and a whole lot of fun.

From little cowgirls to seasoned riders, everyone gave it their best shot (and maybe invented a few new rules along the way 😅).

Jake Clark’s Mule Days is a western event promoting the saddle mule & it’s qualities. Mule Days is a week long event every year during Father’s Day Week & Weekend in Ralston, Wyoming. As you know, mules are in great popularity and will continue to be. Here at Mule Days each and every year, we have America’s Finest mules as they participate in mounted shooting, team sorting, team roping, barrel racing, ranch mule, trail course, and other competitions. Please sign up to bring your personal mule for one of America’s Finest Mule Clinicians then ride in the parade and enter up in all other events as well. You won’t want to miss the all mule rodeo, dinner, and dance! Fun for all ages! We are most popular for our Select Saddle Mule Auction. Our World Famous auction has always been known as America’s Finest Select Saddle Mule Sale.
