🤎 Meet Jolene 🤎

Jolene is a beautiful 5 year old bay molly mule standing 14.2 hands. With great conformation and a kind eye, she’s as easy on the eyes as she is to ride.

Raised by Peterson’s Quality Mules in Ottumwa, Iowa, Jolene is sired by Scooters Rawhide, a jack known for producing outstanding conformation and disposition. The Peterson program has built a respected legacy in the mule industry, and Jolene reflects that quality in both her mind and ability.

Handled since birth, Jolene is gentle by nature and genuinely enjoys being around people. She’s been trail ridden extensively, packed, ridden in town, pushed cattle, completed obstacle courses, and confidently handled a variety of environments. She rides alone or in a group without issue, loads easily, is good to shoe, and stays level-headed even with time off.

💲 Meet Dollar 💲

Dollar is a 5 year old sorrel john mule, standing 15.1 hands, born and raised on the ranch and built with the kind of foundation that shows. He’s out of our Magic Maker jack and a buckskin roan Quarter Horse mare and he carries that same solid mind and willing attitude.

Dollar has primarily been used as a trail mule, and that’s where he shines. He walks, trots, lopes, and moves out smooth and confident. Ride him in a group in any position, take him out alone, or point him down the trail for the day, he’ll go all day and make it enjoyable.

He’s easy to live with, too. Super easy to catch, good with his ears, clips, loads, bathes, and stands quietly. He’ll step over to the mounting block to pick you up, side pass both directions, has a nice back, rides off leg pressure, and neck reins willingly. He rides comfortably with either a crupper or britchen.
On the trail, Dollar handles water, ditches, and deadfall with confidence. He’s a solid, dependable mule that genuinely wants to please.

Piper is a beautiful 6 year old grey molly mule standing a solid 15.2 hands with both the looks and the personality to get noticed. She’s out of a Magic Maker jack and a grey Quarter Horse mare, and she carries herself with confidence and class.

Piper is truly a trail riding deluxe. She’ll walk, trot, and lope with ease, has a great stop, side passes both directions, and will step over to the mounting block to pick you up. She rides off leg pressure and neck reins nicely, with a smooth, easy stride that makes long days enjoyable. Whether she’s leading the group, riding in the back, or heading out alone, Piper stays steady and confident. She crosses water, ditches, and deadfall without hesitation and goes all day with grace.

🔥 Meet Rio 🔥

Rio is a 5 year old, 14.2 hand bay john mule with a bright future and a love for adventure. Sired by Rockin O’s Scooter Noisy and out of an Oklahoma Star / King bred mare, he’s got the breeding, brains, and build to go places.

Rio has already packed elk in the Colorado mountains and confidently navigates water, downfall, and rugged country. On the trail he’s solid and willing, and in the arena he really shines, with a natural low headset and a smooth, slow jog, he’s got serious show ring potential.

Finished on the trail and started in ranch work, roping the heel side, reining, parade work, and mounted shooting, Rio is a versatile young mule that’s equally happy covering miles or stepping into the arena.

✨ Meet Shadow ✨

Shadow truly is a one in a million mule. She’s a classy 11 year old buckskin molly, standing a solid 14.2 hands with the shape, colour, and presence that turn heads everywhere she goes with a mind to match.

Born and raised at Peterson’s Quality Mules, Shadow is sired by Choice, a son of the late great Texas Scooter, and out of Sophia, a buckskin Quarter Horse mare. She was sold as a weanling to Kentucky, where she received extensive professional training before returning with a resume most mules can only dream of.

Shadow has logged countless miles trail riding, squirrel and c**n hunting, and navigating steep mountainsides with confidence. She crosses logs, water, and large river bridges with ease and handles traffic without concern. She’s been ridden through town squares, even decked out in Christmas lights through a local dance hall! and has happily pulled kids on a sled through the Iowa snow.

She’s as easy to live with as she is to ride. Shadow meets you at the gate, loves being groomed, and enjoys attention from everyone. She’s great for the farrier, clipping, ear handling, bridling, and stands quietly to saddle. Under saddle, she transitions smoothly through all three gaits, is soft in the face, rides off leg pressure, and neck reins one handed, you can even take the bridle off and ride her. Nothing rattles her, traffic, guns, bull whips, or fireworks don’t phase her.

Shadow has worked cattle in the pasture and local roping pens, packed supplies, ponied colts, ridden double and ba****ck, and has been enjoyed by kids at local fun days across a variety of events. She takes everything in stride with patience, confidence, and class.
