Over the last 6 months three of our firefighters have been dedicating a lot of time and effort into successfully passing their Fire Academy Class. The academy class includes Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations and Fire Fighter 1&2. Firefighters Spencer Purcell, Ashlee McFall, and Dustin Bary have successfully completed and passed all testing and skill requirements to earn these certifications. Please join us in congratulating these hard working individuals!

Today, members of your Ramsey Fire Department had the privilege of speaking to a group of children and teachers at the Noah’s Arc Preschool at Unity Chapel Church about being community helpers. Students learned about firefighters and how we help our communities. Deputy Chief Gott and Captain Metz demonstrated some of the life saving equipment used by fire personnel. Students also learned about the Jaws of Life, when to call 911, and to Stop-Drop-and Roll if their clothes catch fire. We hope today’s encounter will be a spark for the next generation of community helpers.
